The win market lines up with Hey True Blue holding the mantle as the shortest priced runner, closely followed by Looks, Warralea Lass, and Beaumont Miss sitting next in the order. It sets up an intriguing narrative on a damp track where runners will need to handle the conditions over the 1500m journey.

Looking at the form behind those shorter prices, Hey True Blue comes here trained by S J Wolfe and drawn in barrier 1 with Troy Turner in the saddle, dropping back from metro company after a fair performance without threatening at Ascot over 1400m and holding a win at this track previously. Looks is set from barrier 5 with Austin Galati steering for trainer T M Wolfe, looking to bounce back after leading and dropping off at Northam four weeks between runs while meeting easier opposition here. Winless since 30 Nov 2023. Went home tamely at York over this journey at $17. On pacer. Needs to lift to figure. On trust.

Was $17.00 and struggled with the pace when 7th last run at York but has a good draw. Competing at a higher level of competition. Rather have another day.

Track has proven suitable before; not seen the winners' enclosure for a while now (last win in 2023); behind Cherokee Miss when finishing seventh (York) three weeks ago; hard enough to fancy.
