Welcome to Coonabarabran for the Bowman Racing Showcase Hcp (C1) over 1400m on a Good 4 track under overcast skies, where punters are lining up to dissect a intriguing Class 1 battle. Looking at the win market order, Miners Mate sits at the head of affairs, closely followed by Midnight In Minori and Russian Escape, with Justo's Rocket and Velocette right in the mix as well. It shapes as a fascinating tactical affair over the 1400m trip with plenty of speed influences engaged across the field.

Digging into the form behind those shorter prices, Miners Mate jumps from barrier 2 for trainer Lyle Chandler and jockey Clayton Gallagher, bringing a strong runner-up effort at Armidale over 1400m where it was prominent to the 400m before fading at Port Macquarie last time out, though good gate speed keeps it in calculations. Finished towards the rear of 13 at Coonamble over 1m (conditions race) 14 days ago; passed over with this looking like a hot contest.
