Welcome to Naracoorte for the Western Ag Hcp (54) over 1430m on a Good4 track with fine weather. The jump is scheduled for 3:40 pm AEDT. Looking at the win market order, Artpark heads the betting as the shortest runner, closely followed by Magic Princess, Lysander, and Dodgy Element, with the rest of the field headed by Rob The Bank and Exalted Kate rounding out the main fancies in this restricted country assignment.

Artpark brings strong credentials into this race for trainer P A Preusker, having chased well at Hamilton before a solid second at Warracknabeal over 1200m, proving effective in this grade and making a strong case with Jacob Opperman in the saddle. Magic Princess lines up for Chris Bieg after working home solidly when midfield at Balaklava first-up, and she should strip fitter second-up here. Lysander is another prominent market chance for Garret Lynch, coming off a fighting third at Penola where he kept on gamely behind the clear-out winner, and he is drawn nicely down on the inside to secure a soft run.

Further down the orders, checking the speed groups shows leaders like Magic Princess, Lysander, Drink Then Kiss, and Squagaga looking to dictate terms early, while runners like Archdeacon prefer to settle back and flash home with late sectionals. Dodgy Element also warrants a mention off the back of a reasonable effort at Strathalbyn, staying very fit for trainer D I Dodson and ready to make his presence felt if the speed map plays into the hands of the offpace brigade.
