Race preview
Welcome to Cootamundra for the Virbac (Bm58) over the 1200m journey, which jumped at 3:30 pm AEDT. Punters hunting for a yarn in the market will find Melodee Rose holding down the top spot in the win order, closely followed by Star Empire and Jazz All Knight, with Reds City sitting right there next in line as well.
Looking closer at the form behind those at the head of the market, Melodee Rose lines up with Craig Weeding training and Blaike Mc Dougall in the saddle from barrier 5. Star Empire is handled by Michael Travers with Brodie Loy jumping from barrier 11, while Jazz All Knight comes out of barrier 9 for trainers B Joseph & P & M Jones with Jordan Quince steering. These runners shaped the early setup of the race before the field settled into their respective patterns.
Digging a bit further down the win market order, we find other notable contenders including Sanzeno from barrier 2 with Rochelle Wedrat-Kroezen for Becky Byrne, Tassalina out of barrier 1 with Molly Bourke for Todd Smart, and Liamena Avenue starting from barrier 3 with Claire Ramsbotham for Ms T Bateup. Adasiti, Sir Sublime, and Jacob Joe round out the remaining runners in what made for a cracking contest on the Cootamundra track.
