Welcome to Geraldton for the Wcdc Blood, Sweat & Beers meeting on a fine afternoon with the track rated good4. Punters looking at the win market for this 1200m sprint will find In Situ holding down the shortest price, closely followed by Deep Discretion, Champeze, and Sparkle Corner rounding out the early fancies in the betting order. It is shaping up as a fascinating tactical affair over the short course.

The shorter-priced runners bring some decent yarns into the race. In Situ comes out of a cracking effort here over 1100m and 1200m, backed by a stable operating at a strong strike rate. Sparkle Corner returns fitter second-up after finding the 70+ grade a bit too tough last time, and drops back into easier opposition with Madi Derrick taking the reins. Meanwhile, Deep Discretion resumes after a twenty-six-week break, having shown plenty of competitiveness in similar company last preparation and looking ready to play a role fresh.

Looking further down the form lines and speed maps, the early tempo should see Kentucky Blue pushing forward as the lone leader, while In Situ and Sparkle Corner will park right on the pace. Champeze comes off a determined win at this course where it flashed the fastest finishing sectionals, though it carries more weight this time around. Punters hunting for a bit of value have plenty to weigh up as the field prepares to line up for the 7:50 pm AEDT jump.
