Conditions are testing with a soft six track and rain falling around the venue. Looking at the early win market order, Encrypted Feeling sits at the head of affairs, closely followed by Ralos Star, Oh Pretty Emma, and Rocky Blonde rounding out the initial fancies in what shapes as a competitive restricted fifty-five affair on a wet afternoon.

The market leader Encrypted Feeling returns from a nineteen-week spell for trainers P and W Hulbert, having broken maiden ranks over fourteen hundred metres here last preparation and tuning up with two quiet trials. Ralos Star brings some pleasing form across the border lines, having grabbed a solid midfield fourth over a thousand metres at the Sunshine Coast. Resuming after a spell. Jumped at $3.20 and couldn't stay in touch when 6th last time at the track and will be dropping in distance. Definitely worth considering.

Came home sixth, beaten 19l, over 7f here (handicap) four months ago; has won previously at this course; has proven competitive in a race of this nature; layoff to overcome.
