The track is rated a soft 5 under an overcast sky, setting up an intriguing open handicap contest where the punters have cast their early eyes over a capacity field. Backing up quickly. No match but kept working home to finish among the placings at Townsville over longer test. Coming back in distance. Could add some value to exotics.

Racing on a quick back up. Made some ground late when 3rd beaten by 2 3/4L last time at Townsville but rising in grade. Down in distance. A long shot.

On a quick back-up. Well back and never a factor at Innisfail. Unplaced from 4 starts here. Others more persuasive.

ILB

On a short back up. Jumped at $18.00 and couldn't maintain the pace when 8th last run at Innisfail but drawn beautifully. Racing in stronger company. Dropping weight. Needs significant improvement.

Not always shown an awful lot since winning a handicap at Middlemount in July; not beaten that far over 6f at Innisfail (handicap) on Saturday; a lot on his plate here and has questions to answer.

RSIS

On a quick turnaround. Started 17/1 and faded to finish 8th last start at Innisfail but will appreciate a good stall. Matched against tougher rivals. Suited by the weight drop.
