Warwick Farm hosts a Benchmark 78 sprint over 1400 metres in fine weather on a Soft 5 track at 4:10 pm AEDT. The win market has Komodo Dragon and Verbil fighting shortest, with Felix Majestic next in line and Naina rounding out the early firmers. This is a genuine open affair where form line and map position collide, setting up an intriguing puzzle for punters.

Komodo Dragon sits shortest off a Randwick-Kensington win two runs back and rates 100, suggesting plenty of improvement on last start when settling back. Zac Lloyd is riding above his career average and books well for this field. That said, Verbil cannot be dismissed—the runner is on a quick back-up from a Warwick Farm 1400-metre outing and comes out with a sharp 91 rating and an encouraging AAP comment about big strides late. James McDonald holds a strong record at this track, and the draw in barrier 2 suits the early speed insight. Felix Majestic, trained by Gary Nickson in excellent form, owns a hot jockey-trainer combo that outperforms market expectations by 82 per cent.
