Welcome to Ballina for the Ballina Fair Country Boosted Benchmark 58 over the 1000m dash on a Soft 7 track with fine weather overhead. The early win market sees Amaya's Secret heading up the line as the shortest runner, with Kirra's Sister sitting right next in the order. They are followed through the market by Brief Authority, Tryanza, and Vega Nova to round out the field for this 2:25 pm AEDT test.

Taking a look at the form behind those shorter prices, Amaya's Secret comes in for Stephen & Jordan Lee from barrier one with Siabh Rigley steering. This consistent galloper drops in grade after finding enough to place when second at Grafton over 1000m on a heavy track last start, bringing a solid 12-start record of two wins and five placings to the table. Stablemate Kirra's Sister jumps from barrier four with William Galloway aboard, having pressed on early and stuck on well for third in country class three company at Grafton last time out, and also benefits from stepping back into easier class here.

Looking further through the speed map and form lines, Amaya's Secret and Kirra's Sister both share the early leader section, suggesting a hot pace up front. Brief Authority and Tryanza loom as the on-pace chasers ready to pounce, while Vega Nova settles back as the lone backmarker. Brief Authority brings a fresh win from Grafton at just the second career appearance, though the heavy track condition poses a query, leaving punters plenty of interesting form angles to weigh up in a competitive yarn.
