Welcome to Ballina for the Cnw Ballina Benchmark 82 over 1300m, run on a Soft 7 track with fine weather overhead. The betting boards have sorted the race with Do It For You sitting at the head of the win market, closely followed by Pareto, Swifties, and Tonneofgrit, while Barello and Silent Call round out the order as we get set for a fascinating tactical battle at 3:40 pm AEDT.

Looking at the form behind those shorter prices, the top-elect Do It For You comes in from barrier four for trainers Stephen & Jordan Lee with Siabh Rigley aboard, looking to bounce back after being safely held in sloppy conditions at Eagle Farm over this distance, though crucially ticking the track and distance win box. Meanwhile, Pareto starts from barrier six with Danny Peisley steering for D A McColm, bringing a proven wet track record and a win at their only other start here at Ballina following an even effort at the Gold Coast.
