Welcome to Bathurst for the Horse Of The Year Marvel Man Hcp, a Class 1 test over the 1200m journey. Conditions are currently listed as a Soft 5 with fine weather overhead for this afternoon's card. Looking over the early win market, punters have zeroed in on My Boy Scout sitting right at the top of betting order. Following closely behind in the market order are Fawlty Affairs, Raguel, and Eltrum, setting up a fascinating puzzle for the punters to sort out over the sprint trip.

Taking a closer look at the form line behind those shorter prices reveals some interesting stable angles. My Boy Scout comes into this via a new trainer, having put in a fair shift when finishing seventh in choppy conditions over the 1000m at Dubbo before that solid third at Gilgandra over 1100m. Fawlty Affairs is another catching the eye, returning here four weeks after a midfield finish over this exact 1200m course and distance, having broken maiden ranks on this track previously on heavy going.
