Welcome to Sapphire Coast for the Bermagui Cellars Mdn Plate over the 1000m scamper on a Good 4 track under fine skies. Jump time is locked in for 2:15 pm AEDT. Looking at the early win market order, punters have zeroed in on Camden Cove holding down the top spot, followed closely by Dartanu, Cat's Eye, and Force Of Nature, with Setta's Girl rounding out the pack. It is shaping up to be an intriguing yarn on the quick back-up for some runners, while others step out for their very first look at the track.

The top-rated Camden Cove brings some solid form into this race for trainer W A Hudd, jumping from barrier 2 with Glenn Cahill steering. Now four weeks between runs, this former Bjorn Baker runner was strong closing off late from the tail at Orange over 1000m before a solid effort at Goulburn over 1100m. Meanwhile, debutants like Dartanu for Ms T Bateup and Cat's Eye for Luke Clarke make their presence felt from barriers 4 and 5 respectively. Dartanu took benefit from a lone barrier trial win at Kembla Grange, while Cat's Eye put together an encouraging second in a Canberra trial.

Further down the win market order, Force Of Nature draws the inside alley for trainer K J Parker with Shaun Guymer taking the mount. This runner brings two barrier trials at Hawkesbury and Kembla Grange to the table, and the astute stable could see this youngster improve under race pressure. With Camden Cove designated as the lone leader on the speed map and a handful of first-starters making their debut alongside backmarker Setta's Girl, punters should keep a close eye on how the race unfolds from the barriers.

Jumped at $2.80 and edged past some when finishing 4th last run at Orange. Interesting gear change of blinkers off first time. Should come to hand quickly. Can highly recommend.

Without a win in three attempts although has finished third; ran a bit below expectations (sent off 9-5) when fourth at Orange last month; first run for trainer.
