Following closely behind in the early betting are Native Clan, Regal Hunter, and Happy Clan rounding out the quartet as they prepare to jump at 10:28 am AEDT.

Taking a look at the form behind those shorter prices, Johnnie Pinch lines up from barrier one for trainer J L Keys and jockey Sam Kennedy, carrying 56kg. This galloper comes off a battling third over 2150m at Launceston and boasts good tactical speed and stamina. Stablemate Native Clan shares the J L Keys yard, jumping from barrier three with Erica Byrne Burke in the saddle. Native Clan clocked the fastest overall finishing sectionals last start when grabbing a solid second in a staggered finish at Launceston, suggesting a big show here in similar company.

Further down the speed map, Regal Hunter sits on-pace for trainer Jessie Bazan from barrier four, while Happy Clan will settle back in the field from gate two for J L Keys and Robyn Lynch.
