Hobart's race seven is a Class 2 handicap over 1420 metres on Good 4 going, set to jump at 2:11 pm AEDT under overcast skies. The market is ordered with Who's In Dev the shortest-priced runner, followed by Bella Chinkara, Snowdonia, and Toorak Lad. It shapes as a race where early positioning will matter — Snowdonia, Alisent, and Last Tremble are mapped to lead, while Who's In Dev begins from the back, and Toorak Lad and South Georgia sit in the midfield. The tempo is likely to be set at pace, with the backmarker and offpace runners needing to find clear air to run into.

Who's In Dev holds favourite honours and the form reads well. Codi Jordan is riding at 12 per cent above career average in the last 100 rides, and the horse's last-start effort at Launceston over this exact distance in a Class 3 handicap saw it finish third, closing with raking strides. The rating of 100 (IRD) and the comment that it fits well against this opposition suggest the formline is positive. Last Tremble, at 8-1 in the market order, has Sam Kennedy aboard and the jockey is running 61 per cent above market expected in the last 100 rides — worth filing for exotics if Who's In Dev's market price shortens and you are laying off the favourite's claims.
