Welcome to Murray Bridge on an overcast afternoon for the Norma & Bushman's Tanks Mdn Plate over the 1000m trip on a Soft 5 track. Looking at the early win market, punters have lined up Katrina's Legacy to start as the shortest runner in the race, closely followed by Mr Kimble sitting right next in the order. Out Ontario and Champagne Ladies fill out the next spots in the betting as the field gets set for battle.

The short-priced favourite Katrina's Legacy returns for a second campaign after a 19-week break for trainer G Dimitropoulos, with Stacey Metcalfe taking the reins from barrier 8. Her debut performance at Balaklava was highly encouraging, and a solid trial since suggests she is ready to fire fresh. Meanwhile, Mr Kimble jumps from barrier 2 for trainer S & J Jaensch with hot jockey Todd Pannell in the saddle. This runner placed here fresh last campaign and his best work to date has been on this very track, making him a major player under a rider outperforming market expectations.

Further down the form lines, Champagne Ladies comes in via Victoria Fuchs after a let-up following an outing on the Ballarat Synthetic surface, and can be viewed as a rough place hope in this affair. Out Ontario has drawn awkwardly in barrier 7 for Peter Nolan and Harry Grace, but gets blinkers applied and steps into a slightly easier assignment than the last start at Morphettville, ready to chime in if the breaks go her way.

First run back from a break. Showed strength on the speed initially before fading at the end 2nd last start at Balaklava and having second career run. The testing material.

Missed out by less than a length on his debut at Balaklava at 13-1 four months ago; layoff to overcome; ought to be competitive if reproducing initial effort.

Last of 12 when favourite over 6f at Strathalbyn (maiden) five months ago; without a win in five attempts although has finished second; returns from a layoff; easy enough to take on.

Resuming and made considerable ground when 2nd beaten by 3 3/4L resuming last preparation at this venue. Jockey Todd Pannell and trainer Sue Jaensch & Jason Jaensch can't be overlooked. Should go well.
