Welcome to Rockhampton for the St Peter's Catholic Primary School Hcp over 1200m on a Soft 6 surface under overcast skies. Punters sizing up the open handicap will find Metalcraft holding sway at the top of the win market, with Saraqael next in line, followed by Tizso Fab and Sir Rocket rounding out the order.

Metalcraft comes into this race for trainer Alisha Taylor with Chris Mc Iver in the saddle from barrier four, boasting four consecutive wins and a smart record of nine starts for four victories. The runner scored last start at Townsville over 1000m on Soft 5 going after fighting off challengers and is set to take plenty of beating. Saraqael is drawn nicely in barrier one for trainer-jockey Warwick Satherley, returning from a 53-day let-up after running on well to finish second at Yeppoon and Rockhampton in recent outings.

Further down the order, Tizso Fab maps on pace from barrier three for trainer D W Gardiner and jockey Amy Graham, though the stable will be looking for improvement after fading last time out over this course and trip. Meanwhile, Sir Rocket drops back in distance from barrier two after scoring strongly over 1570m at Twin Hills, which might just suit exotics players looking for a seasoned performer to add some value.
