Welcome to Sale for the Grassdale Estate Mdn Plate over the 1400m journey. Conditions are soft5 with some rain about, setting up an interesting test for this 4UP maiden field. Looking at the early win market order, punters have homed in on Rough Enuff as the elect runner, closely followed by Goodness, Silky Seth, and Angling Angel rounding out the top four in betting. It is shaping up as a fascinating tactical battle across the track with several runners possessing distinct early speed map profiles.

Digging into the form behind those shorter prices, Rough Enuff comes out of an eye-catching second at Seymour over 1200m on a soft5 track where the stable noted a really good run coming from the back after a lengthy absence. Trained by Ms C Alderson with Jamie Mott in the saddle from barrier 2, this runner will strip fitter second-up and the rise in trip looks a distinct plus. Another key contender near the head of the market is Goodness for A & S Freedman, featuring Michael Dee aboard from barrier 4. This runner resumes from a nineteen-week spell following an effort at Wangaratta and a minor placing at Caulfield Heath on soft7 going during the previous campaign, marking them as a genuine fresh-form player.

Further down the speed groups, Silky Seth maps well as a leader alongside Goodness, though sectionals suggest they will go hard early. Silky Seth was brave in defeat when finishing second at Geelong over 1447m on soft5, and while that effort brings minor claims, the early pressure might help set the race up for those tracking off the pace. Angling Angel for Phillip & Tommy Stokes also catches the eye with stakes form providing some appeal, looking to bounce back from a synthetic track outing at Pakenham while fitter second-up. It all points to a cracking yarn for punters trying to unravel a tricky Sale maiden.
