Welcome to Sale for the Irwin Stockfeeds Benchmark 66 Handicap over the 1000m dash, where the track is currently rated a soft 7 under rainy skies. As punters line up their plays for this 3UP sprint, the early win market has Fehmarn holding down the mantle as the shortest runner in the race. Hotspur Reale sits next in the betting order, closely followed by Mckeyla and Hello Romeo rounding out the top tier of the market.

Looking closely at the form behind those shorter prices, Fehmarn brings solid credentials for Ms R Waymouth after sticking tough to hold off challengers at Cranbourne over this distance. First up after 21 weeks and dashed home to win first up last preparation at Terang on a heavy surface. Dropping weight. Not at all out of this race.

Finished last of eight over 6f at Caulfield (handicap) in May; lightly raced (running for just the third time); returns from a break here; this only his second start in handicap company; should figure if excused most recent run as achieved maiden success two runs back.

Resuming and flew home to win resuming last preparation at Terang. Finished 4th in a trial at Caulfield Heath on Oct 1st and will benefit with the weight drop. Respect the betting.

Long losing streak. Came home hot on their heels to grab second 3yo+ Hcp (56) at Moe over this trip. Strikes a harder race.

Racing on a quick back up. Came on strongly when 2nd last start at Moe and has a good draw. Racing in stronger company. Form will be tested here.

Finishing second was a good effort last week at Moe; shown all winning form at Casterton (two successes); others more persuasive as not in the habit of winning recently.
