Welcome to Ballarat for race four on the card, featuring the Harvey Norman Ballarat Mdn Plate over the 1600m trip on a soft seven surface with showers around. The punters have sized up the contest and put Whiskey And War at the top of the win market order, followed closely by Best Terms, Marco Polo, and Belle Flamme rounding out the main early fancies in a intriguing maiden puzzle where tactics will play a huge role.

Best Terms maps as the clear leader from barrier five for the stable of T and C McEvoy with Linda Meech in the saddle, boasting a solid career record of seven starts for three minor placings and hitting this third-up after finishing a game second at Ballarat over 1500m and a solid third at Horsham. That form line reads well for this affair and sets up nicely.
