Welcome to Flemington for the Ronald Mcdonald House Vic/Tas Mile, a sharp Benchmark 84 test over the 1600m journey on a good four surface with some showers about. Looking at the early win market order, punters have zeroed in on Fiorenot holding sway at the head of affairs, closely followed by Superfabulistic next in line, with He'll Rip, Roulette King and Test Of Love not too far away in the betting. It is a competitive 4UP affair where the tempo promises to be interesting with speed scattered right across the field.

Delving into the form behind those shorter prices, Fiorenot comes here after picking up strongly from the back half at Caulfield over 1400m when finishing runner-up following a market drift, suggesting the extra furlong will suit nicely with Jordan Childs in the saddle for trainer Tom Dabernig from barrier four. Another drawing plenty of respect is Superfabulistic from the Waterhouse and Bott yard, who ran a honest third over this mile trip at Warwick Farm last time out, showing plenty of purpose and appealing strongly with Rachel King retaining the ride from gate two.

Further down the line, keep an eye on the backmarkers and speed influences, with Roulette King dropping back from Listed grade after failing to threaten at Randwick over a shorter trip when resuming as an outsider for trainer T Rogers, though boasting an unbeaten second-up record and Jamie Mott taking the reins. Meanwhile, He'll Rip is back on the quick back-up for trainers L and T Corstens and W Larkin after a fair effort over 1400m at this venue, and with Blake Shinn aboard from barrier eight, this hard fit galloper could easily make some noise in a open contest.
