Welcome to Kyneton for the Ambrosia Kyneton Mdn Plate over the 1454m trip on a Soft 7 track with showers about. Punters looking at the early win market have Misneach sitting right at the top of the order, closely followed by Silky Seth, Emanating, and Irish Master holding down the next lines in the betting. It is a tricky 3yo-and-up maiden where several runners are searching for that elusive first victory, and the weather overhead adds another layer of intrigue to the afternoon yarn.

Taking a closer look at the form behind those shorter prices, Silky Seth brings plenty of exposed racing history with ten starts under the belt for trainer D T O'Brien and Billy Egan in the saddle from barrier nine. This gelding put in a reasonable effort without seriously threatening on a heavy deck at Sale last time out when finishing fourth over 1400m, following a solid runner-up performance at Geelong. Meanwhile, Misneach resumes here from a twenty-seven-week spell for the stable of M Price and M Kent Jnr, retaining the services of Damian Lane from barrier six after an honest debut campaign that included a fourth at Pakenham.
