Welcome to Caulfield for the Manhari Alinghi Stakes, a Listed 3UP F&M SWP clash over 1100m on a Good 4 track under fine skies. Punters looking at the win market have Geegees Mistruth sitting right at the head of affairs, closely followed by Photograph, Signature Scent, and Eagle Express in the early betting order. It is shaping up as a fascinating tactical battle over the short trip with plenty of quality mares lining up for a crack at black-type success this Saturday afternoon.

Taking a closer look at the form behind those shorter prices, top-weight Geegees Mistruth lines up from barrier 6 for jockey Blake Shinn and trainer M W Walker boasting a tidy 21-start career with 7 wins. She ran on soundly from midfield at this venue last start when second-up and looks ready to peak third-up as a proven distance specialist. Signature Scent comes in from barrier 9 for Ethan Brown and trainer C Maher after a very game effort when runner-up in Listed quality company at Morphettville over 1100m, quickening willingly off the pace. Meanwhile, Eagle Express draws barrier 3 for Damian Lane and C J Waller, dropping back slightly after landing handy and chasing hard behind the winner in Benchmark 88 grade at Rosehill.

Was $10.00 and ran 6th last time around here. Overlooking the last run. Might take a while to wind up but should be hitting top gear in the straight. One of the punters top hopes at a very generous price.
